SOYA noodle bar CARCAVELOS offers a relaxed dining experience for those looking to explore a range of Asian-inspired dishes with a local Portuguese twist. Nestled on Praça Do Junqueiro, it presents a casual atmosphere where groups and solo diners alike can settle in for comforting plates that lean more toward accessible, European-influenced flavors rather than strict authenticity.

The menu invites you through a variety of noodle-centric options — from classic ramen styles like Ramen de Pato (duck ramen) to lighter bowls such as the Vegetable Noodles. Fans of Korean cuisine will find the Bibimbap de Frango on the menu, alongside dishes like Pad Thai Frango and Yakisoba de Camarão, putting a local spin on popular Asian staples. Portion sizes tend to be generous, making this a fitting spot for a hearty lunch or laid-back dinner.

The interior focuses on sociability and comfort rather than fine dining formality. Visitors often note the friendliness of the service staff, who balance attentiveness without being intrusive — an important factor when trying a new cuisine or dining with friends. At times, service flow can feel a bit unhurried, which complements the easygoing vibe rather than rushing meals.

One distinct touch is the presence of Asian cooking shows on a mounted TV, creating a subtle background theme that connects guests to the kitchen’s inspiration. This feature, coupled with some fun dessert options like Mango Cheesecake or Mango Mochi, adds small moments of local flavor to the experience.

This place suits anyone curious about Asian flavors but looking for a casual, no-fuss setting where they can sample a variety of tastes without diving too deep into unfamiliar culinary territory. Weekday evenings and weekend nights attract a mix of locals and travelers, especially those who appreciate a calm spot that balances well between a neighborhood restaurant and an informal bar vibe (with beers served in canecas).

In summary, SOYA noodle bar works well for people who want a steady option for Asian-inspired dishes in Carcavelos without the formalities of fine dining. It’s a venue where friendly staff, large portions, and a relaxed atmosphere make it easy to stay awhile and try a few different plates.

Outstanding, offering delicious food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our waitress, Jeiisy, made sure everything arrived just when we needed it. She was also exceptionally kind, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Nice Asian food place. I guess it’s bit European style rather than authentic Asian, however, I can’t say it’s bad because the food tastes good.

2nd time I've been here, I tried some new stuff. Thai sweet potato noodles, Korean bibimbap, and tomyum with noodles. It took a while for our order to be taken, which reminded me of the 1st time I visited. Bibimbap arrived and was really lacking in flavour, asked the server if she could bring me some soy sauce, and she said that there was a bibimbap sauce, that was a miss. Almost halfway through the dish, I was thinking, this is the blandest thing I've ever eaten in an asian food restaurant. After the sauce, the dish came to life. Nice concept to introduce people to different types of Asian food.

I enjoyed this bar. The atmosphere is very nice, the food is also and you can enjoy an asian TV channel with different recipes while waiting for food. I ordered an Yakisoba and got an interesting Mango mochi as desert which I recommend.

Excellent flavors and large portions. I had the Tom Yum chicken curry, full of veggies and noodles with a touch of pineapple. The sauce was amazing! The hubs had a huge salad with shrimp and a spicy dressing. The staff are super friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to come back to try more dishes next time we are in town!

Great place, kind service, delicious traditional Korean food. I spilled half of my beer accidentally, the waitress was there in a second to clean it up. Meanwhile I was in the bathroom, another beer was waiting for me on my table (without asking), which they wouldn’t add to my bill!

We mistakenly booked for Soya in Cascais, but Victor was very helpful and offered us a table here. Great food, large doses and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This place has the most delicious Tom Yum and curries! It never disappoints. Even compared to similar and more upscale restaurants, this one is my #1 for Thai food. Staff is very friendly. On colder days it can get a bit chilly in the outer room, but it's perfect for Summer days.
